Oneonta High School Alumni Association distributes four $500 scholarships annually as well as two more scholarships in partnership with Future of Oneonta Foundation, two publication awards, and eight other scholarships/awards to graduating seniors. The association also awards money to fund underclassmen awards to the high school every year.

Oneonta High School Alumni Association Student Publications Awards – $50 each

These awards are presented to the students who in the opinion of the publication advisors have made the greatest contribution to The Echo and The OHSan.

The Carmen Caiazza Instrumental Award – $100

This award is made available in memory of the instrumental instruction given by Carmen Caiazza to students who have been in the music program for four years. The funds are made available by their former students through the Oneonta High Alumni Association.

The Robert C. White Scholarship – $500

This scholarship is given in memory of Robert C. White by his children to a graduating senior who has excelled in science.

The OHS Class of 1979 Memorial Scholarship – $500

This scholarship is presented to a student selected by the principal who is hardworking, with at least a B average and has demonstrated perseverance, forward thinking, vision and commitment to their community.

The Chris Cuyler Criminology Studies Scholarship – $500

This scholarship is presented to a senior who plans to pursue an education as a full time student in criminal justice.

The Bruce Jester Baseball Scholarship – $500

The scholarship is presented to a student athlete who was a member of the Varsity Baseball Team and has been accepted at an accredited institution where baseball will be part of the students program where the student will be drafted as a professional player.

The Oneonta Italian-American Club Scholarships (For College) – $500

This scholarship is presented to a graduating senior planning to attend college who has a parent, grandparent or great-grandparent who was 100% Italian and who has a grade average of 80 or above.

The Oneonta Italian-American Club Scholarships (For Trade School) – $500

This scholarship is presented to a graduating senior planning to attend trade school who has a parent, grandparent or great-grandparent who was 100% Italian and who has a grade average of 80 or above.

5 Oneonta High School Alumni Scholarships

These scholarships are being made available to graduating seniors whose parents or grandparents graduated from OHS and whose academic growth, personal achievement,  future plans and contributions to Oneonta High School are in the best traditions of the school and as are, thus, especially worthy of alumni support.

In partnership with the future of Oneonta foundation the OHS Alumni Association will offer a fifth scholarship.
