Hello OHS Alumni!
Another great Alumni Weekend has passed, and we have started planning next year’s event. Next year Alumni Weekend will be held the weekend of September 15, 2023.
This year, the weather was perfect and Alumni participation was outstanding. Everyone had a fun weekend visiting with classmates and friends. The new format for the Friday Golf Tournament held at the Oneonta Country Club worked great. For the first time, our Friday Evening Social Event was held at the Oneonta Boys’ and Girls’ Club. The Boys’ and Girls’ Club is a perfect location for our alumni event. There’s plenty of parking, easy access to the facility and bathrooms! On Saturday we held the ceremony for our Alumnus of the Year, Inductions to our Athletic Hall of Fame and Wall of Distinction at OHS. After the ceremony we had lunch in the school cafeteria followed by the football game. Additionally, there were class reunions held during the weekend. Everyone had a fun and memorable alumni weekend.
Thanks to all the committees and volunteers for their hard work and dedication. Alumni events are successful because a small group of our members found the time to plan and execute the events. Please consider joining a committee or just helping with Alumni Weekend. We will keep you updated as we progress into next year.
Our Alumni Association meetings will resume in April 2023. Our meetings at OHS in Classroom 205 and on Zoom. The Alumni Association needs you to get involved, come to the meetings, and participate with planning and implementing future alumni events. Volunteers make our association successful.
As we move to the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, the OHS Alumni Association wishes everyone a happy and safe holiday season!
